Description
Initiation to pre-clinical research is an obligatory course, which will allow students to spend a three-week period in a pre-clinical recognized research laboratory of Strasbourg University (University, INSERM or CNRS laboratory) in the field of molecular and cellular pharmacology, and preferentially in the field of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. During this period, students will have the ability to discover the daily life of a research laboratory, exchange with senior scientists, post-docs and PhD students. They will participate, in collaboration with the host research team, in the elaboration of a research hypothesis, the planning of the experimental approach and contribute to perform the experiments and analyze the data.
Compétences visées
Regarding a research hypothesis, the student will be able to propose a research proposal to evaluate the hypothesis, explain the different technics used, learn how to present and analyze the experimental data.
Modalités d'organisation et de suivi
- The student will spend 135 h sequentially in a pre-clinical research laboratory.
- Evaluation: First session: report (50%) + oral presentation (15 min) plus discussion (10 min) (50%). Second session: oral examination
